Following the initial launch and expo in Quaregnon, we are thrilled to present Mimesis222 to you in Brussels at SPASSS, Chaussée d'Alsemberg 110 in Sint-Gilles.
During the book launch on Friday 29th of November and throughout the expo that runs until December 3rd you will be able to explore the labyrinthine like interior of this remarkable school in the Borinage region. Built in 1985 in a hybrid style blending regional postmodernism, brutalism, and retro-futurism, architects Henri Guchez and Manuel Núñez Yanowski envisioned a small city entirely cast in concrete.
The launch evening will begin at 7:00PM with a presentation of the work carried out by Paper Menhirs over the past two years on the unique building of the specialized education school in Quaregnon. This will be followed by the opening of the exhibition and a friendly drink.
